Temperature guage problem

Hi guys..

sometimes in my civic, my temperature guage rises to the top

and for some reason, if i turned my headlights OFF, then the temperature guage would go down again

i know this is an electrical problem, but can anyone tell me what is exactly wrong?

You might need a new temperature sensor.
