I cant get my tach wiring right to keep 2000 focus running.  Need help locating the correct tach wire for a boa 265 remote start.  Wiring guide that tells me to hook up off of the gree/black wire of the ignition coil appears to be wrong.  Please help.

Do you have a meter with an AC voltage setting? If so probe the wires and look for a wire that gives between 1 and 8 volts AC. This is the tach wire and it should be found at the coil pack.

does the coil pack have spark plug wires coming out of it?  Is it in the distrubutor? I have to use the a/c setting instead of the D/C setting, is this correct?
