Hey guys. Ive been having a little trouble with my Jeep. I swapped in a 1995 Jeep Wrangler wiring harness in my 1979 CJ7. The 95 had an automatic but my CJ has a stick. My question was reguarding the Neutral Safety Switch. I need to make the computer think that it have one and that its in neutral. Does anyone there have a diagram that tells what each wire for the NSS does and which i need to ground? I appriciate it. dylan

ok. This says that the Neutral Safety Switch wire is BROWN / light blue. To make the computer think that its in neutral do i just ground that? You wouldnt happen to know which wire i hook up to get the reverse lights to work normally, do you? The diagrams that i have fail to get to that involved. My Jeep and i both thank you.

I don't know if it needs to see hot or ground, but I'd imagine ground. Jumper it and see, try ground first. For the reverse lights, just go back to your backup lights themselves and see what wire feeds them. If you're referring to the 95 harness, go to the autoparts store, and look in a repair manual.

before you jumper it .....FUSE!!!!!! pop a 1amp fuse in their like the irish say to be sure to be sure to be sure

Sorry to climb over the top of you there geepherder, but yeah if your not sure of anythingh and need to try various connectons make sure you put a fuse in line with it...I've killed a couple of radio mutes on radios by not fusing. Customers are never happy when that happens
