High Output Alternators?

Another question concerning the new '95 subaru Outback...

Searching the forums under "high output alternator" yeilds nothing.  Maybe someone could post a list of good sources?

Also, I'm guessing the Outback comes with only a 90 amp alternator.  anyone know? 

Looking at pushing approx 900 watts RMS (400 as class A) in this car.  Am I going to need an HO alternator?  This same setup had no problems in a '99 grand cherokee, but I think that had a 160 amp alternator stock (tow pkg)(but not sure about that number).  Your thoughts?

One more thing - when replacing the alternator, does it pay to upgrade the alternator wiring also, or not worth it?

The stock alt is 90amps, you should be able to get by with the stock one, but I would save for s HO one in the future.

Yes when you replace your Alternator you want to make sure that your wiring will be able to handle the new current, so I would always recommend you upgrade your wiring

Thanks for the input.  I did a little poking around on this trying to learn what kind of amperage draw I should expect with these amps.  The fuses look like this:

SS rubi 502 - 2x30amps (bridged, pushing a single 4 ohm sub), SS 10.0 - 40 amp (two of these amps, each running at 4 ohm stereo), so the total is 140 amps based on fuses.  I read that I should expect this setup to pull approx 1/3 to 1/4 of that amount when it's really kicking, so about 35 - 45 amps max, altho I think the Rubi fuses are a little excessive (it's only doing 400w theoretically).

with a 90 amp alternator, still think I'm OK?

I was going to ask basically the same thing so I figured I would just add it to yours instead of making a new one, sorry in advance for the slight thread hijack.
Running one Diamond D3400.4 which has one 30 amp fuse, and one Diamond D3600.1 which has two 30 amp fuses, together they should be doing around 1000 watts. I have a very baseline model 2003 Chevrolet truck, I believe the stock alternator is either 105 or 145 amps, would assume 105, is there any way to easily check?
Currently at idle I am at about 14 volts even, when going down the highway almost always 14.4 volts. No dimming or any other problems. I would like to know if I will be needing a bigger alternator or not, I do not believe that I do but I figure it would be better to ask then have problems later on down the road.
