Alright...I have my spl box...I am trying to decide what I want to do for my daily box..one that will hit my low FQ not just 52db+ for spl   I am thinking of tuning at about 32 hz as this is what I tune most of my street beat boxes at.  I am trying to decide between these port deminsions    both come to 32hz                (2 x 14.5 x 31.3)  or  (1 x 14.5 x 13)      any other recomendations are welcome    the 2 inch port should give me a better sound from the ports...as I respect SQ as well as good SPL    but like I said this is not a SPL box..only for street beat,  enough to be heard a block away.  I am running only 2 for on the street powered by a alpine 1507,  but I might be running 6 when I compete.   the 2 was no where close to what I need only 152.3 DB  I need 155+  I have the feeling (6) 12's should do

But I need 32hz for 2 subs   space is plentiful, power is plenty, boom is needed

I have never made a box with slot ports, but I think it would work better with the larger opening port, specailly at the higher power level.

I have the secret to beautiful beats with type r subs and slot ported boxes. Go to kicker.com and go to tech help and download the tech maunal for the L7 subs. In here you will find all the specs on Kickers slot ported enlocsures, even all the drawings and a cut sheet, all you have to do is cut a circle instead of a square. BAD ASS SETUP! I use this box on just about every street box I sell and 95% of the time Alpine subs are going in them. THEY BEAT ASS!!!!!!!!!!
