First I'd like to say hi to everyone here on the forums. Feels good to be back in the buisness again. I started in automotive during high school. I took 2 years of auto mechanics and got bitten by the car audio bug by middle of my junior year. After I graduated I started working for Firestone Tire and Auto where I spent 2 years untill I decided to go to college. I attended The University of Toledo, started in the comunity college majoring in Information Systems Operations management. I already had advanced knowled of computers since my dad got our first one in 86. He is a Lab engineer in chemical engineering so we kept up on the latest computers. After 3 years in colllege I found out that I hated sitting behind a desk. I started working in the car audio buisness after many part time jobs at pizza and taco joints. I ran into a buddy of mine that I grew up with at a local pool hall and we got to talking about car audio. As it turned out he worked for a company Called Tas Electronics based in Toledo, Ohio (where I lived and grew up). I had an awesome install job in my 96 GMC sonoma so with that and him taking me under his wing I started installing. After a year or so at Tas things started to go down hill financially I spent all my money on toys and really mis managed my money. I quit installing and gota break at a few factory jobs. The pay was unbeleivable and the bennifits were outstanding but I HATED working in a factory. It eventually showed in my work at I was let go from both my jobs. One was at the wonderbread facility in Maumee, One was doing quality controll work for Quest Quality, where I was sub contracted by the big 3 auto makers to inspect auto parts. Most of my time there was spent at the Dearbourn Michigan Mustang plant. If anyone has ever seen it its verry old, very dark, very HOT in the summer and damp. Its next to a steel mill, so its prety much what people expect to see in an old car plant. After working there I had more fast food jobs. I eventually moved to Indianapolis to get a new start on life. I worked for a company ( well actually one guy ) called Advanced Car Audio. He did alot of custom work for the Indianapolis colts and the Indiana Pacer players. So I got alot of experience there. But I still didnt handle money very well and after 4 years there I busted and moved back to Ohio in Sandusky to stay at my dads and get life back on track. That puts us to the hear and now I got a job working for Tune-Town car audio a well established online and retail car audio store based in Sandusky, Ohio. They had just built a brand new facility in Fremont Ohio wich had been open for only 2 months when I submitted my resume. They like what they saw on the spot, and after checking my references they hired me as head installer for their new store. I am still a little rusty after being away from the install bay for 2 years and I am rebuilding my tools. (note to everyone under no circumstances EVER sell your tools). I love this job, He** I'd do it for free if I Could afford it. Well thats my story now everyone knows me. Were all friends here
