I bought a 96 Nissan Maxima in 02, I got it pretty cheap at the time, but the one thing I found, was the remote foe the alarm/ power door locks, did not work. I discovered that the alarm or remote was a Black Eagle BE - 7000. Now I do not know if this is a factory system or not, but I have seen on websites that these things are apparently re-programmable? The type of remote I have, has an antenna and three buttons with dots on them, one dot, two dots etc. The info I was able to retrieve does not let me know, which button does what, to allow me to re-program it, or how to re-program this particular model. There are claims that this system is multi facetted, in that, it is an alarm/ power door locks/ power window, system? I have tried to put the key in the door lock and turn it to unlock position, which they said is to the left, whereas my car, unlocks to the right, so I did it that way instead. They said I would hear it beep and then I could program, it does not beep. What I need to know is, what buttons operate what? Are they re-programmable, as I have been reading? Is it progreammable for all the things I mentioned I read? If so how? and how do I find out?
I would really appreciate any help I can get on this, I lock my keys in the car too often and would like another way in beside calling a locksmith. I do not have the owners manual to this car, so I cant get info there either, sorry.

You can always check to make sure the unit is getting power, ground, etc.  If it's not, then go from there.  If all wiring seems to be intact, then your system is already problematic- it's not responding how it should according to what you read/were told.  My suggestion is to remove that system, and install a new one.

Get a spare key or two made, and keep one in your wallet.  If you have another, keep it at home.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
