Connected power inverter to 12v accessory plug in Subaru Forester. Inverter worked for a short time period. No power at the accessory plug. Also, no power a rear accessory plug. The fuses are not blown. Had a laptop connected to the inverter. Is there another fuse or a relay that was blown? Why are fuses still good in fusebox?

Actually the fuses are paired with the mirrors, which do work. All fuses are under dash. The 12v sockets are on different fuses, both are good, however both ceased to function. Absolutely no current passing at the sockets, yet fuses are 100% good.

Test for power at the lighter plug with a meter.  It could be the plug on the inverter has an internal fuse which has blown.

Yes checked with meter..no power, fuse good. Tried to use the key is several positions, this worked for the rear accessory plug. However the front is still dead. No power, fuse good, tried the ignition key is several positions. Funny thing is the mirrors, that are on the same circuit as the front accessory plug still function. Further confirming no problems with the fuse. I even checked the fuse on a meter. This accessory plug worked fine for a few minutes with laptop and a 200w power inverter. All of a sudden power was lost to the inverter from the accessory plug. Inverter works fine on other plug at rear.
