I had a customer come in today with a door lock problem.  When they bought the car it had a alarm/keyless entry  by Chapman on it.  When you press the lock button the right side doors will lock but the left side door motors just wine.  Is this common on this vehicle?  Any info would be great.  Thanks in advance.  Brian

It just sounds like the motor is going bad.  I  have a 98 civic and I already had to replace the passengers side motor.  If it happens to be both of the left side doors then it sounds like a wiring problem.

i have had to replace many motors on the honda's
du u have the central door lock system on this car??
either way u can replace the motor with an aftermarket motor. u will only need two wires from the harness. its a alot cheaper then factory motors.
good luck,
david
