Cruise control shutting off when turn signals activated. We recently had a remote car starter installed. This car has a manual transmission. What can be causing this to happen? P.S the left turn signal is flashing faster than the right.

Check for a burnt out stop lamp or signal bulb. Some cruise controls will not work correctly if there is high resistance to ground on the switched side of the brake switch. There may also be a ground and or wiring problem with your rear tailights. I have seen this problem many times. If you have ohms meter, measure the resistance to ground on the white wire at the brake switch to a know good ground. If you have more than 5 ohms there is a problem. The usuall cause is one bulb is bad.
