I know someone with a problem with their cruise on an 06 mustang GT.
Here is what he told me:
Four times now, I go to turn on the cruise control and get nothing. The first two times, I shut the car off and restarted it and it worked fine (over a 2-3 month period). One night I was headed to a friends house and I had the cruise on, tapped the brake, and when I hit resume I got nothing. Same thing, shut the car off and restart, it worked again. This happened twice that night. It's almost like a fuse is loose or something (I heard these cars had that problem from the factory). I looked in the owners manual, but no fuse for cruise control is listed. Is the CC on some other circuit with something else? Any suggestions, besides taking it to the dealership?
Any ideas???

i dont know about the 06 but my mustang has a vacume switch on the brake pedal...if yours has this it will have a small hose connected to it.push the switch toward the pedal, it has an adjustment. some times they are not set correctly from factory.
