I have had the SCS Frigette kit SCS4365 in my truck for about 4 months. It has stopped working and I have tried to trouble shoot it with no luck. All power wires good, brake switch good, good vss signal, switch works and grounds have all been cleand and tightened. Any ideas, I am about ready to buy a new cruise.

Post the year make and model of your truck. If it is an older truck, they had problems with brake switches. Some cruise controls don't care about getting 12 volts on the brake circuit when the brakes are applied. Instead they need to see a ground signal on the line unitl the brakes are used. Check that your brake input to the cruise has less than 5 ohms resistance to ground with the ignition off. This may not apply to the SCS cruises, but it does to the Rostra ones I normally use. If it isn't within spec., you could have a burnt out stoplight bulb or a bad brake switch.

Sorry. 1989 k1500 chevy truck with the 5.7L engine.  The brake switch is new but I will check the bulbs and the resistance on the lamp wire from the switch.
