this is a stupid question but i could not find the answer after looking through the forums. i want to put some polyfil into a new enclosure i just built, does the polyfil simply get stuffed in the box? i worry that it will interfere with the sub and possibly burn if the sub gets too hot. if not, are you supposed to fix it to the walls?

Most people just stuff it in the box. The thermal limitations of poly fill is about the same as the materials that your sub is made out of. Of coarse every situation has its own intricacies. If you find a need for fastening the poly fill by all means do it.

Just as long as the polyfil isn't pushing against the sub or applying too much density near the subs vents (if equipped) then there is no worry just as SM said.

Oh and by the way, the only stupid questions are the ones you never asked. We're all here to help noob and veteran alike. So don't feel bad about any question (unless it's already been answered >.<)
