I've always wondered if this is possible or ok to do, but I've never tried it. I've built hundreds of boxes to manufacturer's specs, and used WinISD Pro, and Bass Box Pro.
I want to try this out in my truck, which is a 92 Siverado single cab, short bed, with power bucket seats out of a Yukon. Currently, I have a sealed box that has 2.56 Cuft. It fits great behind the seat.
I have (2) 10" JL W3 V2's that I want to throw in that truck behind the seat powered with a Zapco Reference 750.2
According to my measurements, I have enough room back there to build a ported box, sort of.
JL reccomends a 1.125cuft internal volume for each woofer, with a sloted port that is 1.25" wide, 10.5" tall, and 25" long.
Can I get away with using (1) port for both subwoofers in a common chamber enclosure?
The slotted port surface area is 1.25"X 10.5"....
Can I make the port more square-like, like 3.3" X 4" ?
I was thinking about putting both subs on the right side of the box and having the port facing the left side of the cab.
This is all going in a 92 Silverado single cab.

This question is more for the Car Audio forum and not so much the fabrication. I would listen to the more experienced installers there for porting and common chamber setups. Then come to here when you start fabrication.

yes u can as long as the port area is correct...it can be any shape..........and from what ive heard a square port sounds better than a rectangle or slotted port.as round ports sound the best...
