for the most part that is true.....but a lot of time when you peel an enclosure or what ever up it will stick to the back of the fiberglass......it is just used as a barrier layer between the tape and the glass. just a release agent. thats all.

You can purchase a 'glass release agent from some supply stores that will allow you to remove your creation from its mold. It works very well, and can be sprayed or painted onto the surface; just remember to use masking tape to cover any areas that will allow the 'glass to run into them (like around stock sound deadening material) otherwise you might find your project has become firmly anchored.

yea i have used aluminum foil before but it become a real pain when it starts to tear and leaves a bunch of pieces stuck to the glass
