Is there any way to make speaker rings w/o a router?, I need to make some but I dont own a router or have never used one.

You could use a jig-saw, it just comes out much better with a router.

1 Circle Cutter + 1 Jigsaw + 20 minutes of time = really nice speaker rings

What are speaker rings, are they just stand offs?

Exactly.

If you're making an all-fiberglass box, your speakers have to have something sturdier than the fiberglass to be screwed into. It also ensures that you get a perfect hole for your woofer every time.

Its simple to do and very cheap..

Go rent a rotozip from home depot ($15 24h)

buy everything listed below on these two diagrams:

Now just move the scrap peice of wood all the way around and you'll get a perfect cut..

BTW the T-Nut has 3 metal spikes that get hammered into the wood so use the rotozip and make some predrilled holes.. And the reason why i am using t-nuts is to stop the rotozip from cutting the scrap peice of wood when rotating the scrap peice of wood 360 deg
