I know subwoofers and midbass drivers need a certain enclosure volume to sound good.  I don't have much space in my car for kick panels, but I think a 3 way Boston system w/ some 4 inch drivers in the kicks might fit.  My question:  is volume of the kicks for a 4 inch driver a concern?

Thanks,

Karl

not really so much with a 4 inch.....the bigger the enclosure the deeper it will play with a 4 inch, you arend gonna get much mid bass, the imaging will be more important with a speaker that small. the smaller the speaker the higher frequency it plays.therefore the more directional it is.
