Does anyone have any experience w/ deflex power pads?

I have a sebring 2001 sedan and I'm trying to get the best possible install on some 6.5" mb quart pce's w/o wasting money. I bought some foam gaskets from Crutchfield but they seem so small. Do foam gaskets harm the midbass resonse? What do you pros do for door speaker installs?

Thanks in advance for any tips you can give!

they do make a difference.........the only downside is they dont do a thing when your window is down and they are blocked.

What is your goal? Are you just trying to dampen the sound? Cancel outside noise from coming in, visa-versa? I would shop around for the lowest price and just go with Dynamat. You could/should try fibering your own door panels for the perfect look and fit of the 6.5s. ...Just some ideas.

I have the pads installed in the doors of a 03' F-150 behind a pair of Quart QM's. Do they really make a big difference in sound? I don't believe they deliver what the manufacture says they should. One thing they do is add mass to the door skin which helps to reduce flex and lower the metals resonance freq. They do install easier than multiple layers of Dynamat or Brown Bread or 50 other asphalt based products. So . . . if you find them on sale or get a good deal, they don't hurt. just a few thoughts . . .
