I'm making some pods and want to paint them to match the rest of the interior.  I've read that SEM has some decent paint for this, as well as using regular automotive paint.  I was just wondering if there are any OEM specific paints for plastics?  I think I'm going to have to have someone custom mix it, but I'd rather not. (more expensive).  I have access to a compressor and gun and a booth, so that's no biggie.  I just want to know what the best paint is to make it look as close to stock as possible.  Anyone know?

I've heard that some people just clean the plastic really well and then spray it with Bulldog plastic adhesion promoter.  Then they spray that with primer and any type of paint that will work with the primer.  I know Krylon makes a good plastic paint called "Fusion" and they sell it at AutoZone and Walmart among other stores.  You still have to clean the plastic really well or even that paint won't stick well.  The spray on adhesion promoter probably doesn't hurt with the plastic paint either from what I've heard.

Thanks, I've used the fusion stuff on my football helmet and I know it works well.  No primer just clean and scuff the plastic.  I put 4 coats on my helmet and even bangin' heads in it hasn't really messed it up. I just wanted to get some paint that was the EXACT match.  I'll see if the fusion is close.
