So I'm building an enclosure into my spare tire well. Today I soaked the material(using trunkliner) with Resin. I had about 1.5 quarts of resin left over from a previous project. I mixed this with about 1.5 oz of MEKP. The recommended mixture on the back of the resin said .5oz of MEKP per 1 qt. of resin. After soaking the material I went to clean up and found that I hadn't used the complete amount of MEKP Will it harden?? -- posted image. as there was still about .3 oz left in the measuring cup. My question is will it eventually harden?? Right now it's been about 3 hours since I finished applying the resin and it's still very soft and gooey. I don't care it takes all day I just want to know if it will get hard? Anyone know??
Thanks in advance....

Eventually it may harden. I would apply a relatively hot batch of reason to help it along.

Ambiant temperature and humidity can actually effect the curing time of resin as well.  So if it is a rainy day, it can take longer to harden for a given ratio.  If you added MEKP, it will eventually harden.

"ok... you need to put mekp in an empty windex bottle, then mask off..."   just kidding, actually, Steve's right. All you can do is wait, it will harden eventually, as long as there is SOME mekp in it. Actually, the less hardener you add the stronger it will be, it just takes longer to cure.

I may get reemed for this. If you have a small radiant heater you could direct at the resin it may speed things up considerably.
