Ok, I have a Mazda MX-3 which is a hatchback.

The project I am working on right now is a custom hatch to look like a Del Sol. What I am doing is taking the otriginal metal frame and building the rest out of fiberglass. How do i get the fiberglass to stick to the metal?

I have looked alot of places and they have talked about cracking because the different expansion and contraction rates of metal and fiberglass.

Any info given would be greatly appreciated!!!

the best thing to stick steel to is fiberglass. dont worry about it.... you only have to worry about parts that will take impact. Thats why a polyurathane bodykit is more desirable.

rough the metal up with 36 or 40 grit, clean it with a good wax and grease remover type cleaner (acetone will work too) then go to town. smooth the feather the edges with duraglass and bodyfiller.
that should be fine.
