http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/  go here. read his stuff.  try some practice projects.  have fun.  waste time.  (that's why most of us are here right? to have fun and waste time?)   Seriously though this guy's stuff is good and detailed.  Also go through the forums here and read about the do's and don't s of working w/ fiberglass.

Ok dude, Fiberglass is an easy process to learn, but its also very easy to mess up with simple crap. A couple rules I use are 1)dont start till u have a plan, make sure u know what u want to do before u start. 2)Make sure u have all the tools and supplies before hand, this is how professionals can make a FG box in an afternoon (nothing fancy but u can make a simple box in a day). 3)Be smart about what ur doing, just use common sence especially when resining. Resin smells like crap and if exposed to it long enough u will get the same effect as if u sniffed glue or something simular. And 4)Practice makes perfect with fiberglass. Ur do it right the first time thing is going to go up in flames, fiberglass is unforgiving and one flaw can mean either hours of redoing or scraping a project. I'm with boxmaker on the practice first with little projects. Oh and 5)Have fun with it! Its quite rewarding when u get ur first fiberglass enclosure look'n all pimp opinions please -- posted image.

haha, sounds like something I might do! lol, but I dont always use a mask, dont really need to unless I'm like making a trunk mold and the mold starts talkin to me while I'm in the trunk laying the mat.

I'll second the tips that xtreamcc gave you. Get the proper tools, materials and safety equipment. I get my supplies from US Composites. If you want a list with item numbers send me a PM. I'll send you the USC part numbers off the list I include with my fiberglass videos.

xtream was saying the mold starts talking to you... Those fumes really get you going sometimes. If you guys have seen that movie "old school" where the guy gets a traquilizer dart in his neck and everything becomes slow motion... DUDE! fumes have done that to me twice. The trip is cool. But the smell is to yucky and bad for ya

Yeah I was starting my first glass gauge pod the other day for my brothers mustang, and got real close to the resin on accident and got really sick, all of a sudden.

I have even used those cheap little 3M dust masks...they seem to help.  You just want to make sure youre not taking deep breathes of this stuff, it will eventually attack your nervous system and you dont want to be jittering too much while you're workin on glass at the age of 30 haha
Im a fiberglass whore!!
