Hey Guys, Can Gel Coat be sprayed on once the fiberglass piece has been made, and used as a finishing coat, then wetsanded and buffed? or does it have to be used as a base coat in a mold?

I think it has to be used as a base coat in a mold, but im not 100% positive on that

I saw them do it on tv the other day, they had to repair the front half of a boat, and then sprayed on a new gel coat layer, just wondered of anyone had any experiences with it.

Yes, you can sprey on Gel Coat after your item is made. You will just have to do a lot od sanding because it orange peels pretty bad.
