Hi.. I just bought some upgraded door handles for my 05 Mustang and am having trouble installing them.  Actually I can't figure out how to install them at all :)  I don't have any manual,... I just don't know how to get the panel off, etc. Is this a pretty complicated thing, or can this be installed with a little bit of mechanical know-how?

They're just the stock door handle assembly, and I did try to pull the panel off the other day but didn't know if there was a special trick or not as I had trouble with it after I got all the bolts off.

once all the screws are removed there should be some clips behind it holding it on.  I usually use a panel popper to get underneath them and get them out.  I dont know how the new mustangs are havent messed with them but if they're using the same clips they always have, their clips are a pain. You should be able to just pull on it a little though and see if they start snapping loose. Use your head though be careful how hard you pull you dont want to break your new door panel.

hi,

did you remove all the screws including the two T-30 Torx behind the latch and handle trim covers as well as the 7mm headed screw behind the switch trim panel?  just more info in case you need it.

Im not sure about the new ones, alpine.  I know my 88 mustang had clips in it. As soon as i popped the clips loose, it lifted straight up.
