I have recently finished fiberglassing a speaker housing into my 2001 Nissan Xterra door panels and I don't want to go through the hassel of bondo, sand, bondo, sand...to paint it, plus I hate that shiny look, however, I can't stand that adhesive vinyl and carpet is too bulky. Does anybody know where I can purchase smooth non adhesive vinyl, or even some kind of material that would make it look smooth but not shiny?

I know that my local fabric shop has smooth non adheasive vinyl ... but it's sold in a package that has like a couple 1yd x 1yd sheets of like 5 differend colors.
Ever think of fleecing it instead of carpet. I did that to my FG enclosure since i didn't want to do all of the sanding and the fleece will stretch to the contours of the enclosure, unlike carpet.

I appreciate that. I never thought of fleece as covering the finished product, just as the start of it.
