Hey,
Would windex be an acceptable substitute for Wax/Grease Remover?

It can help if it has ammonia in it. You can also use some really smooth sandpaper (1200 grit) depending on what kind of surface youre workin on.
Im a fiberglass whore!!

I was thinking of using windex between sanding and painting a fiberglass box

they sell an aresol can of cleaner at many auto part stores that is made for prep of parts that would be best. I am pretty sure that it is under $5.00 a can. Besides I would be weary of using windex for something as delicate as painting. If worse comes to worse just use hot soapy water in place of anything elese.
