well i am making a fiberglass box for my 04 ram qc that will hold 2 10" L5 subwoofers.

and my question is, what material can i use. well i am new to the material world and i dont know much about fabrics... but i want something kinda unqiue, and cool. maby soft.. i was lookin at this fabric which was like furry, it had lots of hairs on it and it loooked pretty cool. but i also want something that i could strech over the edges so i wouldnt have to cut and stuff. also  what i want to do is make it so the box when coverd and you lay your hand over it it will be soft and not hard like wood. but i also want to add my emblems that i removed from my truck to the middle of the box some how.. i was thinkin maby buying some plexi and stickin them on to the plexi then lightin the plexi with some led's and then mounting it to the empt y space in the middle.

thanks in advance'd for any help

here is my box

I think felt is furry sort of, like your saying, im not real sure. Im not big on fabric either, maybe velvet. I dont know. You can add the emblems just got to know how to do it. I've seen people put plastic emblems on seats before so you can do it. Also the plexiglass wont really light up very much unless it is etched in some way.

I always buy suede...there's no better way to go for me. Velvet is too lowrider, vinyl is a bitch to work with, and tweed is too 90'ish. Go to here for the suede fabric and spray.
If you buy the fabric the:
ADH120
$7.74
"Aerosol Installer Bond 120 Adhesive."
is the spray glue you want. Fabric -- posted image.
If that still isn't soft enough for you try to lay down a 1/4" layer of foam or some type of stuffing.

Vinyl IMO but, suede KINDA stretches...I had to work at it for a while. Just be sure to round your corners nicely so that the material doesn't rip. or you can just lay the material on top and the sides but cut the corners then overlap them to hide any seams (almost like wrapping a Christmas present), or you could just paint the corner edges of the box what ever color you are going to cover it in and try to cut the corners to match up with each other the best you can (really hard to get right without leaving exposed box) it's all up to you but:
1. If you want something that is plyable, go with vinyl (remember, it's not like carpet)
2. Any material can be formed to the shape you want...it just takes patience (which I have none of with vinyl), skill, and ALOT of messed up pieces
Let me know if you need anything else.
