The person I got this car from painted the leather seats with vinyl pain I'm assuming and I dont like the look. Is there something that I can get that will remove this paint without hurting the leather. I already experienced with aceton and that messed up a part of my seat. So I was wondering if there was any other products I can remove this with?

Are you sure it is paint and not a vinyl dye?

Yea becuase its peeling off in some spots..Its not dye, it is paint.

The problem is that strong solvents that wuld usually reomve paint will proberly stuff up the leather

Yea I didn't have good results with acetone.

I went into work to check out the vinyl paint that we stock. I work in the paint section of bunnings (home depot to the americans) and they are prety much all oil based, which makes the job shhhty. if the stuff they used was acrylic it would dissolve in meths, i dunno if meths wuld hurt the actual leather but it will remove acrylic paint, if its oil based then im going to have to think even harder LOL. Bit stupid to paint leather since its abit expensive, but hey not every1 can be a rational thinker, good luck
