Ok, i read the ground wire stuff but im confused to how you test  for a good ground wire with a DMM. I'd like someone to explain this to me like where you put the meter probes. LIke do you put one needle at the bolt you grounded your amps to and the other probe? confused a little here.

test between the wire you grounded and another bare metal ground spot. the best is to run a jumper wire to the neg side of the battery. the meter should read 0 ohm's.

hey this is the wrong forum for that you might try car audio for that but anyways to answer your question what you want to do is ground your meter to your frame if its a good meter then you put one to the wire your grounded and the other prong to steel which might be a bolt of stud or your frame and it should come up with a 0 ohm reading like pss said try that and tell us what you get
