Digging around on my camera, and I came across a pic of the box in my car. This is pre trim out, paint, lighting, etc... Single 12" PPI DCX 12-4 and the amp. All in the spare tire well, and completely hidden under OEM floor.

Looks much better in gloss black and blue LED lighting. One of these days I'll toss up finished pics. For those wondering how thick it is.... 1/2". I can easily stand on the top (I'm 285) and nothing creaks, cracks, groans... nothing.

Nothing wrong with the PPI..... I have a lot of product at my disposal (PG, Kenwood, all the DEI lines, JL). Being an old guy, I like the PPI for it's SQ..... it's running lowpassed at 55HZ, 24db. No rap or hiphop has ever been played in the car. All guitar based music.... heavier the better.

I feel it will stay in it's current black primered state until late Jan/Feb. It is remote start season in sunny Manitoba, and anything related to audio, fibreglass, and the like is going to wait until then (including my own car)
When it is done, it will be gloss black to match the car, molded black trim around the amp, and carpeted fill around the whole thing to match the existing OEM. There will also be black painted FG around the distribution/cap (not in pic, in the stock changer hole in a Jetta).
