Just looking for suggestions on what to do with my trunk. I can't figure out a good layout. My current system is
JVC MP3 CD Car Deck (KD-LH300)
2 x JBL 6-1/2" Car Speakers (GTO626)(Front)
2 x JBL 6-1/2" Car Speakers (CS206) (Back)
What I have to put in my trunk:
2 x JBL 260W 2-Channel Amplifier (GTO75.2II)
2 x JBL 600W Mono Amplifier (GTO 601.1II)
4 x JBL 12" Subwoofer (GTO1202D)
At the moment I only have 2 of the subs hooked up and only one of the 600W Amplifiers. I have a 1991 Honda Accord and trying to figure out how to put it all in. Fiberglassing is a option but I want to do as little of it as possible. At the moment I am thinking of having two subs behind the seat facing the back and the other two subs in the back right and left angle facing back. Then maybe trying a false floor and having the amps side by side in a grid. Haven't looked into it yet but powerwise my car going to be ok?
Also one question. I have heard about cutting out a piece of your rear deck in your car sort of acting like a port from your trunk to the inside of the car. Anyone able to explain pros/cons of this?

yea my uncle and his friend have it like this, u cut out that piece behind the armrest, and create the box so that the armrest acts as a ported enclosure when it is down, and a semi sealed enclosure when up.  I dont think there are any cons to that install.  My uncles friend had his trunk sealed in the middle with plexiglass and had 2 12" kicker L7s and when that armrest was up, the bass was mellow and loud as love outside, could be heard for blocks.  When it was down damn I swear the hairs on my head and body were partying, they would ****ing move around and $**T lol.  I myself did not notice any cons, except that if u have 3 passengers in the back seat you need it as a sealed enclosure.  It is really cool.  I wish I could do it with my car cuz it is like 2 different boxes in 1!

^^^ ummm, not the best advice I have read here on the forum. If you want 4 12's to operate PROPERLY in your trunk, first kiss it goodbye, next be prepared to fibreglass, then be prepared to build the box into and become part of the trunk. Meaning, it is going to be a crapload of work to do it properly. Any particular reason that you want 4 12's in the trunk? Let me in on what you are trying to do here.

Cutting the rear deck with a blow through will definitely allow more output to reach into the cabin. The downfall is that the rear shelf is a major structural member to the body of the car, remove it or cut into it without reinforcement and the car may fold up like an accordian in a seemingly minor accident. So want to cut into it, be prepared to weld new structural steel into the vehicle to transfer the load from side to side. All in all, not something that I would recommend for a DIY kind of job.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
