I want to put 4 audiobahn aw1051t subs in a box thats 35in. wide 12in. tall and 23in. deep. Here is what its gunna look like i just need to know if its big enough cuz i dnt have alot of room.

If i were to invert my subs then could i make the box alot smaller cuz im short on space. What should the box dimensions be for one 10in. sub mounted inverted. And should it be ported or seald

What kind of speaker? specs on the speaker also? I think it will take more room inverted then not inverted. You may also want to check and make sure you can mount it inverted, some are not recomended to be mounted like this. I believe you'll have to use the sag calc. to your left.

Inverted mounting allows you to subtract the displacement of the woofer itself from the internal size of the enclosure, but otherwise it must be the same size. If the woofer needs 1 cuft, it needs 1 cuft. Also, now you have the speaker sticking up into the air taking up more space and exposed to the world and possible damage. Inverted mounting is mainly for show.

Are these interior dimensions or exterior. Also, if these are exterior dimensions then what thickness of wood do plan on using. Also, what is the area of your port as well please and we should be able to further assist you man.

Nice looking pic though. What cad program you make that in. Almost looks like a UG NX3 model.

Those are exterior dimensions, the wood is 3/4in thick. The opening for the port is 2in wide and 12 in tall. Theres 2 ports total. Also the cad i used for that pic is emachine shop. But for the actual box, my dad is a machinist so im using his mastercam and a machine will cut it out for me.

I'm curious where those dimensions on your drawings came from. Are they completely random numbers? do they some how correlate to the size of your trunk? How did you decide on the dimensions of those ports without knowing how big the internal volume needs to be? Also if you're short on space maybe a different set up would be a good idea, maybe fewer larger subs, or perhaps a sealed enclosure? I just wanted to emphasize that ported boxes require a decent amount of calculation to make them sound decent.
