I need to know how to paint the dash in my cav. I wanna do it white, cuz all the trim panels are red. I don't know what kind of paint to use. I am not painting anything plastic, that' s already done. I need to know how to do the main part of the dash. I think its vynil, but im not sure. Thanks in advance for your help!

First, nail polish will work the best in this case.  Make all coats even and straight.

And second, I was just kidding about the first part.

I do not know about painting over vinyl, I have seen it done, and it looked good, but began to chip away after a while.  Have you considered just covering it with a different color vinyl material?

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

just dont paint the top of the dash white, you wont be able to see out of your windshield in the daylight.  white reflects really well during the day.

Hahaha, that happened to be the color of the dash I saw painted white, on a 95 Mustang.
