i have this question about mdf:can you only use mdf to make a frame off a enclousure?

what other wood can u use than mdf if possible?

they sell MDF in mm tickness in my country for like $30 a piece

I suppose oyu could use other wood if you wanted to resin the whole interior of the box which would defeat the purpose of trying to cut back on cost. The reason why MDF is used for boxes is because of its density. If HDF was cheaper and more common i bet everyone would use that instead.

you can use 3/4 inch plywood, but like killer sonata said its not as dense and after working with mdf, i'll probably never go back to plywood.  MDF cuts so much cleaner and doesn't splinter like plywood.

Not sure why you would try to call bull on that. Ofcourse a high density board is better than medium density.

5/8" is 15.875 mm so this would do the job
