How to apply fiberglass mat

Hello im new here and im planning on building a fiberglass enclosure for my car. I read the tutorial looked at other and I was wondering how do you apply the fiberglass mat like put resin over the cloth then put mat on then put resin and repeat the process. Thats what i was confused about and I was also wondering do you have to put the mat on.

ok lets say you made a frame stretched it with material soked it with resin you will than let it dry,test fit it to insure that it did not warp. now that you have a good piece the layering will comence. you want you enclosure to have no flex in it. flex in you enclosure will sound bad and rob you of bass. scuff up the out side of the enclosure put down a layor of resin and than some mat on top. useing a cheep paint brush dab the glass till all the air bubbles are out, try not to brush as this will create uneven lumps of glass than add another layor.if the resin is mixed right you can do 6 layors in one shot. you want to use as little resin as possable just enough to keep every thing wet. this will keek you enclosure as thin as possable and maxamise strenght. if i use fleese i will add some where aroun 5-6 layors of FG. for other thinner materials more layers may be neededbring back the rotary phone so i dont have to press 1 to proceed in english

Could i just put the cloth on then put resin on then put duraglass on and then sand it then paint

you dont want to put multiple layers of mat over top of a dry base as all layers will not get soaked. sry but when it come to good glass work there are no cutting corners.bring back the rotary phone so i dont have to press 1 to proceed in english
