Sound Deadning in a Jeep Wrangler

Being that your Jeep is a soft top, there isn't too much you can do to sound deaden that area. One benefit though is that your sound will be cleaner because it won't reflect stray sound waves easily.

But in answer to your question, sound deadening materials (recommend Dynamat, very high sound deadening rate vs most other brands) placed pretty much everywhere on the cab will help maintain sound quality. Since most budgets can't allow the whole thing to be done at once, cover the areas in this order:

Then to help the SQ more, get the hood of the Jeep deadened to help with engine noise. We highly recommend using Dynamat Extreme for this area.

For the rag top, you are going to have to spend a pretty penny extra to have an upholsterer sew in acoustic batting into your rags.
