I need to know what are the main basic tools needed to build sub enclosures?

All you need is some MDF(wood), fiberglass mat cloth, resin, MEKP(hardener), and imagination.

strechable trunk liner or a fleese type material.. I like the fleese.. it wets out a lot easier.. but trunk liner will be stronger.. strech this over your project and it will give you all the cool shapes and curves..

As for the basics, you just need woodworking tools and alot of cheap brushes. You will also need an assortment of sandpaper. Also you should have a good poweRED / air sander. This will save you alot of time and alot muscle fatigue. Fleese is awesome for enclosures, just soak it good on the first application. My tip is don't put the back of the box on until you do a couple of layers of glass, then pour some resin into the edge that you glassed to seal it and make it stronger.

raw resin(no mat or cloth) is really weak.....the strength is in the mat.....I presonally prefer to use the trunk liner better, the reason being that there are less balled up pieces of material to sand down, sand it quick with some 80 grit and your good. plus i have had more problems with the fleece warping than the trunk liner.....but everyone has a preference to what they like and there is really no 100% right way to do things it's all what you feel comfortable using......installguy509
