1997 ford f 150 speaker pods

I was wondering if anyone has ever made speaker pods or complete panels for a 97 f-150?I have  mb quart 3 way system(6 1/2) (4")(and the tweeter)  thanks

I have not made any for that one specifically, but many of the people here have made a pod of some sort at one time.

What did you have in mind?

just something that looks nice...and which method..fiberglass then secure it or make all one piece then wrap the whole door

also can i use the mb quart factory mounting rings instead of the mdf...thanks

Start with making a frame of MDF to secure them in place in the position you want them in. Then glass that and get to finishing. Since FG is varied and capable of so much, there are no "set" procedures for this kind of build.

As for mounting system... The mounting rings might not be recommended for FG because the plastic could warp during curing. If you really want to use the rings, make the baffle out of MDF to take the stress from the pod, then mount the rings to that.
