Hey, I'm looking for some kind of 2"-3.5" foam backed sanding discs to use with my die grinder.  I need to sand some curves and my rigid rubber backing plate just doesn't cut it.  I know someone must make this.  Any ideas?

I recommend doing the curves by hand. It'll take a bit longer (or for some people a LOT longer) but you won't end up with waves in the end that you'll almost ALWAYS see in machine sanded curves. I have yet to find someone who has done machine sanding along a curve and didn't wave it.

ABRALON makes 1/4" thick padded sanding discs, but I'm not 100% sure where to get them. The shop owner here has a deal with a distributer and I don't know where to get them retail. But at least you have a start now.
