I talked to a guy who sells harnesses for the 3100 but he does not have one for my 97 Explorer. He said that my vehicle radio has an amp and that is why he does not have one. He told me that my best option is to use an external speaker and use a relay for the radio to cut its power. Is there a way to connect the Parrot to my vehicle speakers so I do not need to use an external speaker.
Also, If i choose to use an external speaker, can I use two tweeters as my external speaker? Will the tweeters produce good sound?

you can just cut the speaker leads and place the parrot inline with them. pull the deck out and look at the back of it.  you should have one small plug and one big one. the small plug will have your speakers on it. if you dont want to cut the wiring get the wire harness, the regular and reverse ones and connect it that way. metra sells them pn# 70-5600 to plug into the factory harness and pn# 71 -5600 to plug into your radio. connect the power wires together on both plugs then connect the speakers to the parrot and plug it in. using external speakers wont sound as good as your factory speakers and you will have to manually kill the volume to the stereo. if you connect the parrot to the factory stereo it will cut all the speakers and play through the front ones.

git yer swerve on!
