I have been reading some of the forum responses on leds vs. neons and have come to the conlcusion that leds are better. So i've been doing a little research and I noticed that the 7 color changing leds you can buy come with a color changing control box. My question is where is this mounted and how much would it cost me to have some one mount it? Would it be easier to hook up myself? How would I go about programming it? Your feedback will be appreciated.

The control box is installed inside the vehicle. I would mount it somewhere under the dash that is not hard to reach.   The main power switch and controls to change the color are on this box.   Installing this box is not hard, runing the wires from the light bars is about the hardest part.  what do you mean by programming it?  All of the control boxes i have seen have had a power switch and a push button switch which cycles through the 7 colors.  they were all plug and play.
