I have a '93 MX6 and my foglites only work when I have the headlites on. What would be the easiest way to make
them/the switch on the dash independent of the headlights? I want to avoid having to run a separate wire thru the firewall......any suggestions?

This will be a little tricky without a diagram. The fog lite switch controls the fog lites, so one wire will go out to the lites, the other will be powered by the headlites switch. Take the one that is powered by the headlite switch and connect it to switched power or constant. If the switch is lighted, you will have 1 or 2 other wires, use a DMM to determine.

what the hell, just re wire them from the lights themselves to a new switch somewhere on your dash. i know in 93-97 mx6's there are lots of un used knock out panels. just an idea
