Hey Guys

I know this is a bone question but i wanted to see if i've got the hang of the ohms law malarkey!

I have a few led's wwhich im hoping to get hooked up. I'm going to eventually wire multiple LED's in series but figured it'd be a good idea to walk before i can run, so to speak.

Anyway, i have a 5v PSU. The LED's i got have a 2v Forward Voltage and a 0.30mA max foward current. I suspect the best resistor for me to use would be a 100 ohm one, just for the one LED.

Am i right in thinking this? Am i dong this wrong? any tips would be appreciated have i got the hang of ohm's law? -- posted image.

hi,

yes, you've got it..... (Vs-Vled)/If = R....or (5-2)/.03 = R = 100 ohms.

you might not need to run the LED at the maximum forward current however.

the current will effect the brightness however.
