i am installing an undercar neon kit on my 99 suburban.  the problem i am having is placing the rear tube.  the hitch goes all the way back to the gas tank leaving no room for the tube.  any ideas on where to mount it?  thanks.

i am not familiar with the surburbian but i had no place to mount my neon because the tyre well ran all the way back to the rear bumper, i ended up pulling the bumper off & cutting a slot about 1 metre by 5cm, routing a lip into the slot and bolting a peice of perspects into the gap, mounting neons is just a case of problem solving, i also suggest you dont run any cables by sharp chassy objects, i have seen in a few cases the wires arching to the chassy & blowing the neons, hope this helps

Make sure you consider the travel if you mount the tubes in the path of any vehicle suspension. I had this problem on a motorcycle. Worked fine until a passenger got on ... within a few miles the neon was hanging on by just the wire and all busted up. :(

I HAD my neons installed, but i was a freakin idiot and i didn't solder at all and my connections were crap between the series of tubes. So in the end, my actual power supply box/converter thing (the box that hooks up to your battery at one end, and the lights at another) ended up blowing. SO now my neons dont' work at all.
