saturn dash lights

I was wondering if anyone had any info that would help me out, theres two problems. I installed a pioneer deh-2100 head unit after it was in my dash lights wouldnt come on at all.I have 3 extra wires coming off my harness. I was fooling around with them and got the dash lights to come on when my headlights are off and vice versa. The extra wires are orange, orange w/ white strip and blue. My other problem is that my amp cut out and wont come back. It worked fine up until i cleaned up the connections on my head unit, i checked all my fuses underhood, inside, and amp fuses with no luck.
