I was wondering if anyone had any info that would help me out, theres two problems. I installed a pioneer deh-2100 head unit after it was in my dash lights wouldnt come on at all.I have 3 extra wires coming off my harness. I was fooling around with them and got the dash lights to come on when my headlights are off and vice versa. The extra wires are orange, orange w/ white strip and blue. My other problem is that my amp cut out and wont come back. It worked fine up until i cleaned up the connections on my head unit, i checked all my fuses underhood, inside, and amp fuses with no luck. Thanx

  • ORANGE: Illumination
  • ORANGE / WHITE: Dimmer
  • BLUE: Power antenna or remote turn on lead

The Pioneer does not need the orange wires to be connected unless you wish the deck to dim with the lights. The BLUE wire you will attach to the power antenna lead of the car ( if applicable ) or to an amplifier. If you have the ORANGE wires connected, disconnect them ans see if the problem persists.
