I want to make a little LED bar to mount under my mirror on my motorcycle. I want amber / YELLOW LEDs facing forward and red LEDs facing rearward. The thing I am confused about is setting them up as runing lights as well. I want to tap into my current blinkers and use them in addition to them, and they are 3 wire lights. So, any suggestions?

One wire goes to power, the other one goes to ground, and the other wire goes to the turn signal wire.

If you know the wires coming to the current blinkers, you can add your LEDs without a problem, however if you LEDS need less than the current coming to the bulbs, you'll need some voltage dropper or put enough in series to drop the voltage. If you want them to be "running" LEDs then you'll also need a circuit that makes that. You can find them by searching the net or can buy them readymade as well, the running circuits that is.

Just put in a resistor to each LED.  If you want them to blink you might have to install an electronic blinker.  As the LEDs dont draw hardly anything...the reg blinker won't work.
