i am trying to wire some led's for a special project and i dont know hwo to begin...i figured take a pos. and neg... add a 1k ohm resistor to the pos end and it shoudl work..or am i wrong?diagrams would be helpful

also i woill be using these in conjunction with wig wags..so most likely be hooking them to the wig wag flasher pack..but its not a solid state flasher and when i hooked fog lights into it it seemed to slwo way down..should i buy a solid state to solve the problem

LED circuit
You got the basics right on. In the basic circuit it does not matter where the relay is located. The value of the resistor is going to be based on the specs of the LED and what the voltage is. For this example I will use LED specs of 2v @ 25ma, and 12V as the source
R= E/I
R= (12-2)/.025
R= 10/.025
R= 400 Ohms
Wig Wag
Sounds like it is a thermal flasher in there. They generally have their best results around 35 watts. 55 watt fogs heat it up to quickly, and a longer cool down period creating a lopsided flash. If you just use LEDs on it it may not flash at all
