i know what your talking about it's a delay timer for the headlights and an "automatic on" when the sun goes down, i've never actually installed one but my advice is to get a 12 volt light of some sore (fog light) a car battery and a test light fuse every wire with a 10 amp fuse and test it by trial and error if you know red is 12 volt, black is ground then brown should be parklights, the other i'm not sure but i do know that the timed lighting is controled by the activation of a door pin, once the door is opened the lights start to time out because if they didn't the headlights would stay on untill the battery was dead. and the other 2 wires may be for the photo cell itself. if you can take a photo of the unit and i'll see if i can get more info for youcanada's cold eh.
