Hello,

I have a 8 switch plate in my truck for numerous lighting accessories and I have noticed that when I am driving I have to put on the interior light to see the switch I am going to activate. Once the switch is activated the light comes on but by that time I already found it. I have the switches in the dash. Does anyone have any suggestions to shed a little light on the switches? Could I get a On/Off/On switch and connected only the top "On" to the accessory and still have the light active when I have it in the bottom "On" position? Just a random thought. Thanks

I am unaware of any lighted double throw switches, but I do have some options for you

#1 Your current lighted switches have 3 connections on them- power, output, and ground. If you switch the power and output wiring, the switch will always be lit

#2 Externally lit. I use on-on switches and 3 lead bi-color leds. The On-1 position I use as my off, and it lights the green portion of the LED. The on-2 position lights the red portion of the led, and operates the switched ciruit

Thank you! I really like the On-On switch idea, having two different color leds would work perfectly! Now here is a question for you. Where can I get some of these switches I have searched online, but I still haven't found a large selection of switches anywhere. Thanks!

Last time I did this I got it all at rad shack, using spdt mini toggles and bi-color leds. The LED itself has 3 connections, #1 is ground, #2 is the red, #3 is green. If 2 and 3 are both on it is yellow. I also use that same LED for my headlamps, with green being low beam and red being high beam

Didn't realize that the switch and leds were seperate. That's pretty cool. Thank you very much! Been a big help!
