How to wire these lights?

how would i install all these lights?

1. i want the padels to turn on when i put my headlights on....

2. the blue neon light thats installed in my trunk i want it to turn on when my amps turn on....

3. what gauge wire and fuses should i use?

1.  use a relay, 85 will be your headlights when on, if positive, 86 will be ground, if negative 86 will be fused constant 12V. 30 will be fused constant 12V. and 87 will go to the postitive wire on your pedals.

2.  use a relay here also 85 will be your amp turn on wire, 86 your ground, 30 fused constant 12V. 87 will be your new amp turn on lead, run wires to your amps and your neon tubes.

3.  you should use atleast 16 gauge and not too sure about the fuses, I am guessing 10 or 15 amp fuses though, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Right, 15 amp fuse is the maximum size for 16 ga. wire.

https://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp and you can find fuse sizing for smaller wires from other sources.  You can use a 1 amp fuse on a 16 ga. wire if you want to, if the light draws less than 1 amp.  You just can't fuse a wire with a value higher than the wire is capable of.

im sorry im really new at all this electronic stuff.... hope i understand this right... im supposed to run one 16ga wire from my battary..... near the battary put a 30amp fuse there.... then run the wire to 30 on the relay...

a relay is an elecrtomagnetic switch that can do all kinds of fantastic things

in this case, it is being used as a power  "amplifier" because your headlight switch cannot provide an appropriate power source alone. it can, however, be used to energize the relay.  tip: the headlights are powered by relays also.

to build the relay, you will need:

1.  a standard 30/40 amp power relay (car stereo shop/autoparts store)

2.  approx 50 ft of 14-16 gauge wire

3.  1 fuse holder and several 15 amp fuses (to be safe)

4.  basic knowledge of your car (location of battery, headlight switch (+) wire, firewall routing location, sutible grounding location)

5.  crimp connectors and grounging ring

the numbers that probably confused you even more (85,78,30...) are the numbers of the poles on the relay...

it is not a simple job, and i would not reccomend attempting it if you do not feel confident. if you have more questions, email me and i will try to help more
